The tower was designed by Hazel Wong, responsible for the design of the Emirates Towers, which are visible throughout Dubai, who was given a wide mandate to develop a unique form at this crossroads where the East meets the West. IBN Batutta Mall - This is the nearest mega-mall to Dubai Marina--not at the Marina itself but (across Sheikh Zayed Road) within sight of some of the towers. It is described as 6 malls in one, each having a different theme--China, India, Persia, Egypt, Tunisia, Andalusia.
